    Banking and Finance

    Michael Randolph

    Michael Randolph recently joined Willow Creek Wealth Management, which has offices in Santa Rosa and Sebastopol, as a financial adviser. A fee-only planner since 1984, Mr. Randolph has been a senior financial planner for a CPA firm and had his own financial planning and investment management practice prior to merging with Willow Creek. A certified financial planner, he also holds a master of science degree in financial planning and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors and the Financial Planning Association.

    Business Organizations

    Coree Cameron

    Coree Cameron, founder and managing partner of Cameron, Coffey, and Kaye, PC, a tax, accounting, and financial services firm in Bel Marin Keys, was named Novato Chamber of Commerce board president for 2014. Joining her on the Executive Committee are Brian Finnegan, Burr, Pilger & Mayer, Inc., treasurer; and vice presidents Jerry Peters, Novato Sanitary District, and Jay Strauss, Winton Strauss Law Group, and Tim Howard, Courtyard by Marriott Novato; and Michael Di Giorgio, Athas & Associates, immediate past president. Ms. Cameron has been practicing tax and general accounting for more than 20 years, serving Marin, Sonoma and San Francisco counties, as well as clients nation- and worldwide. She sat on the board of directors for the Novato Women’s Network for the past four years as treasurer. In 2012, she was elected valedictorian of Leadership Novato, Class of 2012, and received the Women in Business Leadership Award from the Novato Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee.

    Government

    County of Sonoma Transportation and Public Works Director Susan Klassen was appointed chairwoman of County Engineers Association of California’s Transportation Committee. This committee monitors and recommends legislation aimed at improving county transportation. Ms. Klassen was appointed director by the board of supervisors in March and has worked for the county since 1985. 

    Residential Real Estate

    Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage said six of its top North Bay agents have been selected into leadership positions for the Marin Association of Realtors: Blaine Morris, a top agent with in the Greenbrae-Sir Francis Drake office, president; Nate Sumner, Mill Valley office, president-elect; and board directors Sylvia Barry, Novato; Barry Crotty, Greenbrae-Sir Francis Drake; Margaret Deedy, Greenbrae-Castle; and Marilyn Riede; Greenbrae-Bon Air. Ms. Riede was honored with the board’s Distinguished Service Award for 2013. Mr. Morris has more than a decade of Marin County real estate experience in addition to more than 25 years of professional sales and negotiation experience. He has served on the association board since 2012. Ms. Barry has been working in the real estate field for 10 years. She is a director/youth chair of the Rotary Club of Novato Sunrise, director/membership chair of Soroptimist International of Novato and an advisory board member of the Novato School Fuel. Mr. Crotty began his real estate career in 1986 and owned his own real estate company for several years in San Mateo County before moving to Marin County. He is the 2004 past president of the Marin Association of Realtors and was honored as MAR’s 2006 realtor of the year, the organization’s highest level of achievement. A realtor for 35 years, Ms. Deedy has served several terms on the MAR board of directors and is currently serving as the association’s treasurer. She previously served as MAR president in 1991 and recently completed her 2013 term on the Budget & Finance and Governmental Affairs committees. Ms. Riede has served terms on the MAR board of directors in 1986-87, 2001 and 2012 to the present. She has also served as MAR treasurer and on the Executive Committee from 2002 to 2003 and is a longtime member of both the Government Affairs and Budget and Finance Committees.

    Kim Strub

    Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage also announced that Kim Strub has affiliated with the company as a sales associate in its Mill Valley Downtown office. Ms. Strub is a 10 year veteran of Marin real estate, specializing in sales from development projects and luxury homes to working with first time home buyers. Prior to affiliating with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, she worked with Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Luxury Real Estate. Ms. Strub has earned both the Seniors Real Estate Specialist and Certified Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives designation and is a former winner of the Frank Howard Allen Founder’s Award.

    Security

    Ron Kent

    Advanced Security Systems in Santa Rosa announced the addition of Ronald Kent as senior security consultant. Mr. Kent comes to Advanced Security Systems with over 20 years of experience in the alarm industry. He began in the early 1990s installing systems for Binkley Alarm, where he quickly moved into sales and then into management. He was general manager for Binkley Alarm for nearly 10 years. In 2009 , Mr. Kent started his own company, Safeguard, which he operated for four years prior joining Advanced Security.
