2014 SSU Economic Outlook Conference registration closes Monday

NORTH BAY -- Registration for the Business Journal's annual Sonoma State University Economic Outlook conference Feb. 19 will close Monday.

This year's conference will focus on the need for collaboration between universities and businesses to create a powerful and lasting workforce for the future. Our keynote speaker will be the Chancellor of California State Universities, Timothy P. White, PhD. A regional economic analysis and forecast will be given by Rob Eyler, PhD, director of the Center for Regional Economic Analysis and professor in the Economic Department at Sonoma State University.

In addition, the conference will have a panel made up of Matt Cooper, vice president of business development and international of oDesk; Ingrid Estrada, vice president of Agilent Technologies and HR vice president of Keysight Technologies; Craig Nelson, board member and corporate secretary of Nelson Family Companies and Sarah Dove, director of the Career Center at the Sonoma State University School of Business and Economics.

The event will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Sonoma State University's Student Center Ballroom. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the program runs from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Tickets are $65 per person or $675 for a table of 10, including a continental breakfast. To register, use the online form under "Registration & Nominations" at NorthBayBusinessJournal.com by Feb. 17. Walk-ins the day of the event are welcome.
