Tickets are now available for the North Bay Business Journal's Impact Marin conference, an annual forum focused on current and future trends in Marin County's economy.
In the spotlight for 2014 are issues that stand to fundamentally affect the day-to-day operations of businesses and residents alike, including the ongoing implications of drought in California and the status of the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit commuter rail system.
Participating in a forum on the drought and the status of supply are Chris DeGabriele, general manager of the North Marin Water District, Krishna Kumar, general manager of the Marin Municipal Water District and J. Dietrich Stroeh, partner at CSW/Stuber-Stroeh Engineering Group.
For transportation -- in particular, SMART and a newly developing congestion on 101 northbound and the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge -- are Farhad Mansourian, general manager of SMART, Gary O. Phillips, mayor of San Rafael and Dianne Steinhauser, executive director of the Transportation Authority of Marin.
The conference will also include data from the second-annual State of the Marin County Business Climate Survey, designed as a barometer for business confidence and concern across the region.
