Napa Chamber -- breaking boundaries

The Napa Chamber of Commerce knows no boundaries. We’re about more than just this side of the valley, and we enjoy talking to potential members from throughout the Bay Area and Northern California.

Some longtime members, such as Sharen Papich, independent distributor of Safeguard Print & Promotions in Sonoma, joined the Napa Chamber to better expand her client base to the other side of the hill and grow contacts.

Recent new members from outside of Napa, including Dominican University’s Andrew P. Barowsky School of Business, are making the most of their new audience base by using the chamber board room to host informational seminars. Tying seminars with an interview on KVON Radio, an ad in our Varietal of Savings and a mention in the e-newsletter provides a solid marketing strategy for any business program and initiative.

Of course, there are plenty of businesses in our own backyard that we’re excited to work with. There’s nothing more fulfilling than to meet a new business owner, help them use the services we offer and watch their business grow and thrive.

Last fall, Maria Cordova came to the chamber as a new resident of Napa. She relocated to the Valley from Los Angeles, where she had a successful career in human resources. The move to Napa was her chance to start new with her own HR business. She joined the chamber at the "entrepreneur" level, to ensure she received enhanced marketing benefits for her company, HumanageHR. Once on board, she quickly started working with us to fulfill her benefits.

To learn what the chamber has to offer, Maria first attended a chamber 101 seminar and since then, has become a familiar face at chamber mixers and events. She attends Leads Over Lunch regularly and will present her own session on May 2. She also was featured on our Today in the Napa Valley segment on KVON radio, and has distributed the clip of her interview throughout her various marketing and social media channels.

Marketing is essential to any new business, and Maria has used the marketing benefits of her membership well. She met with our director of communications and Marketing to discuss social media strategies, and walk through the creation of a Facebook page for her business. She was provided pointers for a press release to announce her business, which was covered in several publications.

Maria is already making a name for herself and her business in the short six months that she’s been a member of the chamber. But don’t take our word for it. She recently provided the following testimonial:

"As a new business owner and member, the Napa Chamber has been a very valuable resource for me. The chamber was the first place I turned prior to officially launching my business in November of last year, and since then has helped me promote my business and build a network to help grow my business. They have an amazing team and everyone has been so welcoming and very responsive to all of my questions and requests. From information on advertising opportunities, my press release, community involvement, marketing and social media advice, and networking luncheons and mixers, my membership has been extremely worthwhile and I am already realizing my return on investment."

We are open for business in the Napa Valley and beyond. Curious about how the Napa Chamber can help you? Give us a call at 707-226-7455 or visit our website at NapaChamber.com. We look forward to working with you!
