E-commerce developer DEPlabs plans growth in Petaluma

PETALUMA -- DEPlabs, Inc., a developer of e-commerce applications with around 50 employees, has plans to expand its roster following a move to a new headquarters in 1,800 square feet of leased space at Petaluma's Marina Business Center, according to an announcement from the property owner.

"I anticipate a 50 percent growth rate in both revenue and employee count over the next year," said Mark Costanza, senior vice president of DEPlabs, in the announcement.

The company could not be reached for further comment. Scott Stranzl, vice president of leasing for the property owner, Basin Street Properties, said in the announcement that the move was representative of a larger trend.

"DEPlabs is representative of an increasing number of tech companies that are crossing the bridge to escape cost and congestion and are now thriving in the North Bay," he said.

Mike Thomason and Kyle Wilburn of Keegan & Coppin Co., Inc./ONCOR International represented both Basin Street and DEPlabs.

DEPlabs develops web- and mobile-based commerce applications that include content marketing and search engine optimization functions. The company launched in San Francisco in 2004 and most recently based its headquarters at 901 E St. in San Rafael, according to information from DEPlabs.

Clients include Jelly Belly Candy Company, Gold's Gym and Design Within Reach.

The company has 20 of its employees in Dallas, Texas. DEPlabs signed the lease with Basin Street, at 755 Baywood Dr., on March 21, according to transaction information provided to the North Bay Business Journal.
