SANTA ROSA -- Santa Rosa-based news--talk radio station KSRO launched an FM-frequency broadcast that mirrors content of the station's nearly seven-decade AM broadcast.
Starting June 3, the station broadcasts at 103.5 FM as well as 1350 AM, the space on the dial since 1937. The dual availability is expected to expand the brand to younger listeners, and is the latest in a series of moves to upgrade KSRO since Sonoma Media Group purchased the station in May 2013.
Sonoma Media Group is not affiliated with Sonoma Media Investments, which owns North Bay Business Journal, Press Democrat, Argus-Courier and Index-Tribune.
"This allows KSRO to do a better job than ever bringing local news and personality talk radio to Sonoma County, and to be even better marketing partners for our advertising clients," said Michael O'Shea, president of Sonoma Media Group.
The FM signal is broadcast from Santa Rosa, with primary coverage in Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Windsor and Sebastopol.
