ROHNERT PARK – In the works for Friday, Sept. 19, is the sixth annual North Bay Innovation Summit where early stage companies meet investors and the public, with local wines to follow.

Hosted by SoCo Nexus in conjunction with the North Bay iHub and North Bay Angels, the event takes place at the Sonoma Mountain Village Event Center in Rohnert Park.

The two-part program begins with a dozen startup companies competing for a $5,000 cash prize and the opportunity to pitch SoCo Nexus mentor members.

Presenters are wanted. If you’re an early stage entrepreneur in one of the following four market segments, sign up by Aug. 1. The areas are Software-as-a Service, Social Media, Web, and Cloud Technology; Health Care and Medical Technology; Food and Agriculture; Clean Tech and Sustainable Products.

From 1:30 to 5 p.m., in a segment open only to accredited investors, the Investment Forum will feature investment presentations from up to six highly qualified entrepreneurs preselected by members of attending angel investor groups from throughout Northern California.

Following the presentations, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., accredited investors and presenting entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to network over a selection of Sonoma County wines presented by area winemakers.

For more information, or to register for the event, visit the SoCo Nexus website at www.soconexus.org or call Amee Sas at 707-664-6201.
