SANTA ROSA — Target Corp. on Monday said it plans to hold a job fair to hire more than 200 to work in its store set to open at Coddingtown shopping mall this fall.

TargetTarget (NYSE: TGT) will host a job fair to hire 200–250 people for its new 135,000-square-foot northwest Santa Rosa store, the department store retail chain’s second in the city. The store is set to open in October.

The job fair is set to be held Aug. 7–9, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, located at 50 Mark West Springs Rd., north of Santa Rosa. Hundreds of applicants commonly come to these hiring events, and store management conduct prescheduled interviews.

Available jobs in Santa Rosa are posted at jobs.target.com.

Target operates 1,789 stores in the U.S. and 127 in Canada. Sales were $71.3 billion last year, down 0.9 percent from 2012.
