Petaluma District board member resigns
Friday, November 7, 2008
“Circumstances in my personal life demand my full attention and leave insufficient time and energy for me to contribute to the Board,” Dr. Anderson said in his resignation letter.
Dr. Anderson was one of two incumbent members along with board President Robert Hill. The board is required to allow a 15-day notification period before appointing a replacement and will be accepting applications for the slot through Nov. 21 at 5 p.m.
Three new board members will work with the replacement. Registered nurse Fran Adams, Dr. Stephen Steady and Dr. Robert Ostroff were elected to the board on Tuesday, defeating incumbents Liz Close and Dr. Hill as well as challenger Dr. Gerald Besses.
