Banking

Rebecca Poon was promoted to vice president, business development officer at Tamalpais Bank in Marin County. Ms. Poon worked as a commercial underwriter for the bank since 2005. Jaya Seaver was promoted to vice president, commercial relationship manager of the Greenbrae branch. Ms. Seaver was manager of the Tamalpais Mill Valley branch.

Education

Sabrina Steele of Merryhill School in Santa Rosa was named Preschool Teacher of the Year by the school’s parent organization, Nobel Learning Communities. Ms. Steele was chosen from among teachers in 135 preschools in 15 states.

Law

Burr Pilger Mayer in San Francisco named James (Jim) Petray partner, and he will work as lead partner at the firm’s new North Bay location opening this month. Mr. Petray’s career spans more than 30 years, and his areas of expertise have been focused particularly on closely held businesses and not-for-profit organizations.



Resolution Remedies of San Rafael appointed retired Alameda Superior Court Judge Ronald Greenberg to its panel of ADR Professional Neutrals. Judge Greenberg, a settlement specialist, has mediated and arbitrated disputes covering many areas of law.

Manufacturing

Metro Label  in Napa appointed John Reighard vice president of sales for Western U.S. and Canada. Metro Label is based in Canada.

 

Nonprofit Organizations

Audubon Canyon Ranch of Stinson Beach elected Andre Brewster of San Anselmo, Michelle Dench of Fairfax, Dave Chenoweth of Mill Valley, and Jane Sinclair of Sonoma to its board of directors.



Novato-based Homeward Bound of Marin, a provider of shelter and services for homeless families and adults, named to its board of directors Nancy Culhane, a marriage and family therapist; Eric Fischer, director of finance for The Breakthrough Collaborative and Rocky Packard; kitchen manager for Woodlands Market.



Lifehouse of San Rafael promoted Nancy Dow Moody to president and CEO. She’s been with Lifehouse for 16 years, the last three as vice  president and chief operating officer. Lifehouse serves the needs of disabled adults.

 

Real Estate

Lori Burger, senior vice president and director of marketing for Eugene Burger Management Corp. in Rohnert Park, was recognized for her contributions to the Institute of Real Estate Management and was inducted into the Academy of Authors.  



Carol Case and Dino Wilson joined the Greenbrae office of Frank Howard Allen; Dan Wood joined the Novato office; and Joanne Zavlaris joined the Mill Valley office.



Amy Jasmer joined the Prudential California Realty office in Rohnert Park.   

Technology

Troy Helming joined Larkspur-based Greenline Industries’ domestic and global sales network. Mr. Helming founded the first wind energy company in Kansas. Greenline builds compact, waterless biofuel plants.

Wine

Foster’s Wine Estates in Napa appointed Shawn Schiffer to vice president, national retail accounts.
