Tom Gillons, financial adviser in the global wealth management group of Morgan Stanley in Napa, completed an investment consulting training program conducted jointly by Morgan Stanley and The Wharton School. Mr. Gillons is also a member of The Zimmerman Group, a financial adviser team in the Napa branch.



Business & Professional Organizations

Jon Eldon Martens of Sonoma County was named a member of the 2008 class of International Facility Management Association Fellows. Mr. Martens is the facilities operations division manager for Sonoma County General Services and the founder and president of Jemcor, a facility management education and consulting firm.  



Construction

Greg Hurd of Carlenzoli and Associates in Santa Rosa achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) professional accreditation. This accreditation distinguishes individuals who demonstrate detailed knowledge of LEED project certification requirements and processes.



Education

For the year 2009 the recipients of Cardinal Newman High School’s John Henry Newman Award are Dan Stevens, Cardinal Newman 1984 and an executive with Wells Fargo Bank, and Paul Wright, founder of Wright Contracting Inc. Cardinal Newman is located in Santa Rosa.



The George Lucas Educational Foundation in San Rafael named David Markus editorial director for Edutopia. The foundation publishes Edutopia.org, Edutopia magazine, Edutopia video and Edutopia e-newsletters.



Health Care

Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center’s  Pediatric Department hired doctors Enoch Brabant, Mary Kathryn Brown and Adrienne Silver.   



Insurance

Chet Laws joined Costello & Sons Insurance in San Rafael. Mr. Laws will assist business development efforts for the agency’s California Association of Realtors endorsed program.



Nonprofit Organizations

Buckelew Programs in Marin named Dennis Ryan, a Greenbrae resident and managing partner at Berkeley Advisors Group, president of its board of directors.

Additional new officers include real estate investor Terry Noyer of Greenbrae as treasurer and Bank of Marin Advertising and Communications Manager Fabia Butler of Mill Valley as secretary. Buckelew Programs provides affordable housing, employment and recovery support services for transition-aged youth and adults with mental illness in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.



The YWCA Sonoma County elected Maria Nersesian and Celia Bolam to its board of directors. Ms. Nersesian serves on the YWCA Sonoma County event committee. Ms. Bolam is currently the planned giving officer for the Community Foundation Sonoma County.

     

Real Estate

CPS Real Estate in Sebastopol added Rebecca Nielson to its real estate team. Dan Abballo, former teacher and coach at Santa Rosa Middle School and Drake High School in San Anselmo, joined the CPS Central office in downtown Santa Rosa.



Frank Howard Allen announced the third quarter top producers in Marin County are Tom Benoit, Alva Falla, Ave Couris, Jay Patterson, Lisa Dunlap, Deborah Fletcher, David Grega, Bill Johnson, Sherry Russell, Judy LeMarr, Bill Smith, Ted Strodder, Ron Susskind and Janet Williamson. Sonoma County top producers are Linda Alioto, Kathleen Ball, David Barker, Kyla Brooke, Susan Bryer, Daniel Casabonne, Brendan Coen, Deke DeKay, Diane Harris, Doug Del Fava, Susan Parker, the Duran Group, Michael Friedenberg, Marianne Harder, Doug Hecker, Laurie Hill, Diane Krause, Penelope LaMontagne, Tony Parrish, Ron and Jane Pavelka, Charlee Schanzer, Constance Sharpe, Cheri Stanley and Liz Uribe.



Prudential California Realty added Gilberto Garcia to its Sebastopol office. Mr. Gilberto has been in real estate for 3 years and is bilingual in Spanish and English.
