A Rohnert Park man was in custody after his arrest Wednesday morning on suspicion he inappropriately touched girls at Scandia Family Fun Center where he worked, police reported.
Nicholas Andrew Dittmore, 23, was arrested at about 7 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of four counts of child molestation, said Sgt. Joe Ferronato.
He was being held in Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $400,000 bail.
Dittmore allegedly touched four girls, all about 8 years old. The reported crimes took place in the video arcade of the Rohnert Park business, Ferronato said.
Dittmore worked in the arcade area at the time.
A bystander told police he saw Dittmore touch the girls, Ferronato said. Police were called, Oct. 19, the day of the alleged acts.
Dittmore was fired as soon as the allegations were reported to management, the sergeant said.
On Wednesday, detectives arrested Dittmore as he showed up for work at a Santa Rosa business.
Ferronato declined to release further details about the alleged incidents.
Scandia, in western Rohnert Park, includes minature golf, a video game arcade, fast food and bumper cars.
A manager at Scandia Wednesday declined to answer questions, but issued a statement:
“Scandia Family Fun Center is currently working with the police department and cooperating fully with their investigation into what occurred,” said Kelsey Mendoza, reading from the statement.
“Scandia does not condone any type of harmful, offensive, or unwanted contact by its employees toward its guests. We take this matter very seriously and will continue to work with the police until the matter is completely resolved,” Mendoza said.
The statement also said Dittmore had been fired.

Do they have cameras? If so, that should cinch the deal. If not, innocent until proven guilty!

I work at scandia and know nick very well. He is completely innocent and would never do anything like that. The cameras will prove his innocence. Would anyone really do something like that, on the job, in front of several cameras on a sunday afternoon? Come on this is ridiculus.
