The Business Journal is accepting nominations for its first-ever Corporate Philanthropy Awards aimed at recognizing the contributions of companies and organizations that improve life in the North Bay.
“This is long overdue,” said Business Journal Publisher Brad Bollinger. “Businesses across a wide spectrum of sizes in the North Bay are generously committed to their communities in many areas of need from the arts to homelessness. It’s our privilege to recognize them.”
Nominations will be accepted across a range of size categories from small to large companies and can include corporate foundations. Nominees will be evaluated according to both financial contributions and volunteer efforts. Winners, to be selected by the Business Journal editorial staff, will be honored at an awards luncheon in March.
Nominate your company or organization as a leading partner in philanthropy in the North Bay. Awards will be presented at a reception in March.
Submit nominations through Feb. 17th.

Sonoma State University and North Bay Business Journal event: 2014 SSU Economic Outlook Conference, Feb. 19, 7:30-11:30 a.m., at the SSU Student Center in Rohnert Park.
Keynote speaker is set to be Timothy White, California State University chancellor. An economic outlook is set to be presented by Rob Eyler, director of the Center for Regional Economics at Sonoma State University. A panel of top local business leaders — Ingrid Estrada of Agilent Technologies, Craig Nelson of Nelson Family of Companies, Sara Dove of SSU School of Business and Economics and Matt Cooper of oDesk — will discuss local needs and opportunities.
