Meanwhile, state water regulators released the latest revision to a Russian River basin frost-water regulation more than three years in the making.

First third-party commercial PACE funding approved
September 8th, 2011ROHNERT PARK — Codding Enterprises, developer of Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park, said it received county of Sonoma approval for $1.6 million in funding for a second 1-megawatt solar electric array at the development, the first project funded under a new public-private model for clean-energy enhancements to commercial properties.

AmCan project turns waste heat to power
August 22nd, 2011AMERICAN CANYON — In addition to a large solar electricity plant planned to cover much of the closed 80-acre American Canyon landfill and an existing power plant there that uses captured methane from decomposing garbage, a new project will harness heat normally lost during combustion of landfill gas to generate up to an additional 1.5 megawatts of electricity.

August 1st, 2011ROHNERT PARK — A planned project to double the size of the 1 megawatt solar array atop the expansive rooftops of the Sonoma Mountain Village development in Rohnert Park this fall could also greatly expand the use of property-assessed clean energy (PACE) financing for energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects nationwide by allowing cash-strapped local governments to tap hundreds of millions of dollars of private money to fund the work.
