Exchange Bank in Santa Rosa elected Steven Jenkins to senior vice president and manager of wealth management. He has 30 years of banking experience and has worked for Exchange Bank for six years.
Sonoma Bank promoted Aleia Coate, assistant vice president, from branch manager to community manager at its Sebastopol branch. Ms. Coate will continue to manage the Sebastopol branch and oversee the East Petaluma branch located inside G & G Market as well as the West Petaluma branch.

Purple Communications Inc., a Novato-based provider of video and text relay and on-site interpreting services, appointed Dominic Gomez president. Mr. Gomez comes to Purple Communications from Hanaro Telecom Inc., Korea’s leading integrated telecommunications provider.
Elected to the North Coast Builders Exchange “Construction Hall of Fame” were Leroy Carlenzoli, founder and president of civil engineering and land surveying firm Carlenzoli & Associates; Dave Koch, president of Koch Construction Co.; Ralph Locke of Syar Industries; and, posthumously, John Ramatici. The inductees will be honored at the 55th annual dinner meeting.
Rachel Lang of Code Source in Sebastopol, a private building plan review and inspection firm, was certified by the state as a Certified Access Specialist providing consultation to local agencies, permit applicants and members of the public on compliance with construction-related state accessibility standards.
Winners of the seventh annual architecture design competition for Marin County High School students, sponsored by the Marin Builders Association, included Elizabeth Rose Way, first place; Andrew Steier, second place; Clayton Alm and Kabir Sikand, third place; and Michael Ross and Daniel Thompson, honorable mentions. Students designed and created models for the SMART – Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit – Larkspur Landing Transit Terminal.
Longview Education Associates, a green building education provider in the North Bay, hired Rebecca Valentine as program facilitator. Ms. Valentine, who holds a Green Building Professional Certificate from Sonoma State and is a LEED AP, previously worked in the solar energy industry and college support services.
Dr. Steve Estes, professor of history at Sonoma State University, was awarded a Fulbright Senior Lecturing Fellowship in Germany from April to July 2010. Dr. Estes is teaching two classes on American history at the University of Erfurt.
