The board of directors of the Sonoma County Repertory Theater appointed Amber Wallen managing director. Ms. Wallen previously served the Hilberry Repertory Theatre Co. in Detroit as director of development and assistant director of marketing.

Bank of Marin's senior vice president and director of community relations Joan Capurro was elected co-president of Rotary Club of Ross Valley; Jaime Ortiz, assistant branch manager of the Corte Madera office, will serve on the board of directors for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Marin; and Renee Rymer, vice president and branch manager of the Corte Madera office, will serve as vice president of the Marin Symphony Board.

Sonoma Bank in Santa Rosa promoted Ryan Beach to vice president. Mr. Beach, who serves as a community manager for Sonoma Bank's Northern California branches, has been with the bank for more than four years.
Appointed to the board of trustees at Sonoma Academy in Santa Rosa were Tim Duncan, executive vice president of Silver Oak Cellars in the Napa Valley; Raymond Haas, an attorney with Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin in San Francisco; Whitney Mortimer, partner and global marketing director at Ideo in Palo Alto; Bruce Spaulding, senior vice chancellor at the University of California at San Francisco; and Leo Laporte, a radio and internet broadcaster who is also the founder and CEO of Twit LLC in Petaluma.
Mark Walsh, the director of information systems for Sonoma County, was hired to serve in Marin County's newly created position of director of finance. The new position consolidates the elected auditor-controller and treasurer-tax collector posts to fully utilize Marin County's costly new computer system.

Linda Perkins, events and circulation coordinator at the North Bay Business Journal in Santa Rosa, was named Employee of the Month for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Petaluma Argus Courier and the Business Journal. Jeff Quackenbush, Business Journal wine, construction and commercial real estate reporter, was named interactive editor.
Michelle Hall was appointed as marketing director for barrel producer Alain Fouquet French Cooperage in Napa. Ms. Hall began her career in Paris in California wine imports, marketing and retailing and has more than eight years experience in the cooperage arena.

Hopland-based Rb Wine Associates LLC, parent company of Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services, hired Steve Ryan as winemaker. Mr. Ryan, who specializes in crafting organic and biodynamic wines, was formerly part of Magnanimus Wine Group, a Mendocino-based organic and biodynamic wine company.
The Sonoma County Harvest Fair in Santa Rosa named Bo Simons, manager of the Sonoma County Wine Library in the Healdsburg county library, the 2009 Friend of Sonoma County Agriculture. Joe Rochioli, Steve Sangiacomo and Ulises Valdez, have also received Agricultural Recognition Awards.
