Kaiser Permanente of Marin and Sonoma hosted its "Neighbors in Health" day Aug. 2, providing free doctor's visits, physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing screenings, dental screening and health insurance assistance.

Nonprofit & Community Organizations

The "Cause for Paws" event in Napa drew 1,000 people to the Silverado Resort and raised $140,000 for the Napa Humane Society's spay and neuter clinic.

The Redwood Empire Food Bank will add a WIC program store at its Santa Rosa headquarters to serve low-income women and children. The organization also announced a 32 percent increase in food distributed in Sonoma County, compared to amounts from about two years ago.

CPS Real Estate of Sonoma County launched the Home Assurance Program, which offers homeowner education and loan protection services, including job loss protection.
