Dana Anderson joined Exchange Bank in Santa Rosa as vice president and regional business development officer for the north region of Sonoma County. Mr. Anderson was most recently vice president and commercial real estate loan officer at Sonoma Bank.

Brian Purcell of Merrill Lynch in Santa Rosa earned the Certified Financial Planner certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

The Sonoma County Economic Development Board recognized with Spirit of Sonoma County awards Santa Rosa Chamber board members Bob Reynolds of Innovative Business Solutions for his work on the chamber's Worksite Held Employee English Learning program, Don Chigazola of Medtronic Cardiovascular honored by the North Bay Leadership Council, Keo Hornbostel of Hyatt Vineyard Creek honored by the Sonoma County Lodging Association and Larry Wasem of the Airport Business Center honored by the Sonoma County Alliance.

Santa Rosa-based Redwood Credit Union’s senior commercial loan officer Jim Ward was honored with a Spirit of Sonoma County award for his personal and public support of the small business community and California’s Small Business Loan Guarantee Program.


AIA Redwood Empire in Santa Rosa, a chapter of the American Institute of Architects, elected Ron Verdier president of the board of directors, Katherine Austin vice president and 2011 president elect, Alima Silverman secretary and Rene Cardinaux treasurer.

Jess Zuniga of ZECO Electric Inc. in American Canyon was installed as president of the Northern California chapter of the National Electrical Contractors board of directors.


The College of Marin Board of Trustees in Kentfield swore in as board members Wanden Treanor, Barbara Dolan and Diana Conti. Nominated as new executive officers were Eva Long, Ph.D., president; James Namnath, Ph.D., vice president; and Ms. Conti as clerk.

The Sonoma State University Alumni Association in Rohnert Park elected to its board of directors Marlina Boucher Harrison, PR and marketing director of the Sonoma County Fair; David Felte, financial planner and investment adviser representative with Eagle Strategies LLC; and Sarah Scudder, internal online order solutions manager for Golden Pacific Systems.

Edith Cadena, a 2009 Windsor High School graduate, received a $2,000 scholarship in memory of Manny Fernandez, M.D., for her study of health science at U.C. Santa Cruz. The funds were given in four $500 checks from Alliance Medical Center, Healdsburg District Hospital, the medical staff at Alliance and the medical staff of the hospital.


Adler Fels Winery in Santa Rosa appointed Daniel O’Leary vice president and general manager. Mr. O’Leary previously served as Adler Fels’ national director of retail development.

The Napa Valley Vintners in St. Helena promoted Patsy McGaughy to marketing director. Ms. McGaughy has worked for the NVV since 2000.
