The new Web site features interactive maps, a complete chamber member directory, a connection to social media and a community calendar that will enable visitors to submit events for posting.

Solar installer SolarCraft in Novato was awarded the Best of Marin by the Pacific Sun’s annual reader’s poll to identify the best businesses in Marin County.

Nonprofit & Community Organizations

Petaluma nonprofit Daily Acts was selected as the 2010 Outstanding Environmental Education Program by the Sonoma County Conservation Council. In October, Daily Acts collaborated with two other Petaluma nonprofits to install 25,000 square feet of waterwise, edible landscaping around Petaluma City Hall, which will save 3 million gallons of water and $25,000 in maintenance costs.

Recreation

Amgen's Tour of California is looking for volunteers to help at the April 25 Breakaway Ride in Santa Rosa presented by Specialized. The ride will raise funds for the Breakaway from Cancer initiative.
