DobleThomas and Associates, which provides professional land surveying services, civil engineering, aerial photography, GIS, cartography and blueprinting services, celebrates a 40-year anniversary in 2010.  Founded by John Doble in Cloverdale, the firm now has additional office locations in Healdsburg and Ukiah.


Santa Rosa-based Western Water Constructors Inc. was named a top 10 finalist for the 2010 Safety Expo Innovation Award by the Safety Expo Advisory Council. Western Water Constructors specializes in the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants throughout California and is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors and the North Coast Builders Exchange.


Electric car maker Zap in Santa Rosa participated in the first-ever Korea Electric Vehicle Challenge outside Seoul with Korean distribution partner Samyang Optics. It entered the Alias electric car and Jonway electric SUV, the first public demonstration of both vehicles.


Metier Ltd., a software company soon moving from Virginia to Santa Rosa, launched the Project Health Reporting Service, which reduces the friction of project metrics collection and reporting, while building project portfolio views for enhanced decision support.

Wine & Spirits

Boonville-based Anderson Valley Brewing Co., the “Solar Powered Brewery,” released its Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema. In the peak of summer, more than 40 percent of the brewery’s power needs are obtained from the sun.

Napa-based Jarvis, producer of cave-fermented Napa Valley wines, announced a partnership with the American Wine & Spirits division of Southern Wine and Spirits, California, to represent it in California. Southern Wine & Spirits is the single-largest wine and spirits distributor in the United States operating in multiple states throughout the country.
