PETALUMA — Star Staffing is expanding services at its Petaluma corporate office as the staffing firm seeks to capitalize on what it perceives to be a rebounding need in specialized services.
The Petaluma branch will specifically target recruitment in the fields of accounting, financial, technical engineering and a wide range of executive level jobs, the company said in announcing the expansion last week.
“With more than six months of substantial growth in the direct placement sector, we feel now is the perfect time to launch,” said Lisa Rogelstad, chief executive officer and owner of the firm. “Because we are coming out of the recession, we know local businesses will begin looking to fill an array of higher level positions.”
By opening the specialty services branch, Star hopes to position itself for further growth, which is has managed despite the grim economy, having increased its staff by 20 percent and having grown a total of over 53 percent over course of the past year.
The company was founded in 1998 and has offices in Healdsburg, Napa, Sonoma, Petaluma, Fairfield and Ukiah, with areas of placement including manufacturing, industrial, clerical and administrative.
