Monica Soiland of Midstate Construction was elected board president of the Petaluma Chamber of Commerce. Other officers elected were Ron Malnati of Exchange Bank, first vice president; Tony Sarno of Keegan & Coppin, second vice president; Will Soper of Beels Soper, treasurer; and Les Villanyi of Ottimo International, immediate past president. Matt White and Justin Hansel were re-elected as board members. Michelle Law of Circle Bank and Wayne Leach of CSW Stuber-Stroeh Engineering Group were also appointed to the board with one-year terms.

Nonprofit Organizations

Tracy Nielsen is the new vice president of resource development and marketing at United Way of the Wine Country in Santa Rosa. She served most recently as the vice president of marketing and resource development for United Way in Racine, Wis.


Healdsburg-based Edmeades Winery named David Ready Jr. head winemaker. Mr. Ready is a zinfandel expert and also the chief winemaker for Murphy-Goode in the Alexander Valley.

Pezzi King Vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley named John Calmeyer national sales director for the winery. Mr. Calmeyer has worked for Allied Domecq Wines, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and Sebastiani Vineyards in strategic sales and marketing and integrating direct-to-consumer initiatives. Joanna Donati was named wine club and sales administrator. Ms. Donati was previously with Araujo Estate Wines in Napa Valley and The Gap Inc. and Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco.

Stephanie Putnam was appointed director of winemaking for Raymond Vineyards of the Boisset Family Estates' collection of wineries in St. Helena. Previously she was winemaker at Far Niente for nine years and before that winemaker at the Hess Collection
