The board of directors of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce will initiate a process to endorse candidates in the November election for Santa Rosa City Council. Through its political action committee, the chamber will invite candidates to interviews, ask them to answer a series of written questions, and hear from them at the Sept. 15 Good Morning Santa Rosa.

Novato-based Willis Lease Finance Corp., lessor of commercial jet engines, signed an agreement with SuperJet International to purchase six Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft and options for four additional aircraft. The memorandum of understanding has a value of up to $300 million under current list pricing and economic conditions.
Tricorp Construction of Sacramento and Hearn Construction of Vacaville signed an agreement to combine the resources of the two companies into a major construction company to be named Tricorp/Hearn.

The cities of Napa, American Canyon, St. Helena and Calistoga; the town of Yountville; and the county of Napa will jointly convene a public meeting on Monday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Yountville Community Center to discuss the potential for consolidation of local government services. The meeting is open to the public.

Santa Rosa-based Zap Electric Motors’ Zaptruck XL and Zapvan Shuttle were qualified by the Internal Revenue Service for a 10 percent tax credit up to a maximum of $2,500, if purchased after Feb. 17, 2009, and before Jan. 1, 2012. The tax credit is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
