SANTA ROSA – The Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy will hold its second Sustainability Awards Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Friedman Center in Santa Rosa. The event will feature a keynote presentation by Annie Leonard, author of "The Story of Stuff" and Time Magazine Hero of the Environment in 2008.
Six awards will be presented at the dinner program. The Trailblazer Award will go to Kelley Rajala, who's played a leadership role in GoLocal, the 350 Garden Challenge and the Share Exchange. Receiving the award in the Individual category is Len Greenwood, founder of the Montgomery High School Green Technology Program. The Organization/Business Awards will be presented to Daily Acts, Indigenous Designs and Agilent Technologies. The Sonoma County Energy Independence Program will receive a Collaborative Initiative award.
