Brett Martinez, president and CEO of Redwood Credit Union in Santa Rosa, received the 2010 Distinguished Service Award from the California Credit Union League. Mr. Martinez has served as RCU’s president and CEO since 2004.

Michael Madsen and Ron Shaw were appointed co-branch managers for Santa Rosa-based Mason-McDuffie Mortgage Corporation.  Mr. Madsen and Mr. Shaw have been with Mason-McDuffie since 2009.

Carolyn Goodman, founder and president of Goodman Marketing Partners in San Rafael, was appointed to the Direct Marketing Association ECHO Board of Governors.

Brian Fulkerson, assistant vice president and relationship development officer of Summit State Bank, was elected to the board of directors for the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce.

President of Top Speed Data Communications Anthy O’Brien will  speak at LaunchPad’s two-day event at Santa Rosa Junior College later this month. Also speaking are Wendy Vinson, president and COO of E-Myth Worldwide, and Ramin Ramhormozi, founder and CEO ShoppingStrand, Inc., both in Santa Rosa.

Business & Professional Services

Rohnert Park-based accounts receivable management company Optio Solutions named Johnnie Stein director of its Healthcare Division. Mr. Stein previously held senior level management positions at three hospitals in Houston, Texas.

Santa Rosa CPA firm Pisenti & Brinker named Gary Lentz director, business advisory services.  Most recently Mr. Lentz was president of Calabasas-based InfoStor’s local branch.


Angelina Duarte will serve as vice president of student learning at the College of Marin in Kentfield. For the last two years she has served as a project consultant with the nascent College Connection Academy in San Jose.

Health Care

Dave Chambers and Kevin Carruth were sworn in as members of the Sonoma Valley Healthcare District Board. The board voted Peter Hohorst chair, Madolyn Agrimonti vice chair and Bill Boerum second vice chair.

Harmony Plenty was named executive director of the Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation.  Previously Ms. Plenty was development officer at Blue Oak School.

Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation of San Francisco and Marin County added Gregg Jossart, M.D., to its roster physicians. Dr. Jossart is a laparoscopic surgeon specializing in gastrointestinal, bariatric   and endocrine surgery.


The Superior Court of California, County of Sonoma, appointed Anthony Wheeldin to the position of Superior Court Commissioner. Mr. Wheeldin has over 30 years in civil, family and juvenile and dependency areas.

Donald Werstler was named to the Sonoma County Workforce Investment Board for an initial term of one year.

The Bay Institute in Novato appointed Steven Machtinger to chair of its board of directors.  Mr. Machtinger has served on The Bay Institute’s board for more than five years

Santa Rosa-based LifeWorks of Sonoma County named Beth Ryan, retail banking officer with Exchange Bank, Beverly O'Donnell, retired teacher and administrator, and Arnold Rosenfield, retired, to its board of directors.

Marie Gewirtz was elected president of the Sonoma County Harvest Fair Board of Directors for 2011. A board member since 2004, Ms. Gewirtz has chaired several committees.
