Financial advisor Michael Champion joined Kuhlmann Associates Financial in Napa, which is affiliated with the Network branch offices of San Mateo-based LPL Financial. Previously Mr. Champion was with Waddell and Reed.
Retired Sonoma County Superior Court judge Elaine Rushing joined the panel of Santa Rosa-based JAMS, a private provider of mediation and arbitration services. Judge Rushing, the first woman appointed as judge on the Sonoma County Superior Court, served on the bench for nearly two decades.
Leah Hole is a new account manager at Santa Rosa-based Trope Group. Ms. Hole’s work experience includes 14 years at Medtronic in facilities, space planning and design and project management.
Santa Rosa-based Green Valley Consulting Engineers’ staff engineer Eric Cohen passed the National Principles and Practice of Engineering exam. Engineer Michael Grimes passed the exam for becoming a certified storm water pollution prevention plan developer and practitioner.
Representative Mike Thompson was selected to serve on the House permanent select committee on intelligence. Mr. Thompson was most recently chairman of the House intelligence subcommittee on terrorism, human intelligence, analysis and Ccunterintelligence.
Licensed clinical social worker Suzanne Ash was named clinical director of the Children's Village of Sonoma County. Most recently Ms. Ash developed an intensive behavioral treatment program in Sonoma County for adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.
Santa Rosa-based SmartMotion Technology appointed Herb Liberman president and chief executive officer. Mr. Liberman has served on the ergonomic swing chair company’s board of directors for the past three years.
San Rafael-based Buckelew Programs’ new board officers are president Dennis Ryan of Greenbrae, vice president Fabia Butler of Mill Valley, secretary Marcia Antipa of Kentfield and treasurer Dan Waters of Novato. Stan Moore of Kentfield is a new board member.
Nancy McKenney was named CEO of the Marin Humane Society in Novato. Ms. McKenney was CEO of the Humane Society for Seattle/King County and has more than 25 years of experience in the animal welfare field.
Neil Kaufman was promoted to CFO of Remote Sensing Systems in Santa Rosa. Mr. Kaufman has been with the contracting company, which specializes in climate, atmospheric, and oceanographic satellite research, since 2002.
Sonoma-based WorkforceLogic named Martin Corlieto vice president of professional services. Previously Mr. Corlieto held executive management and board positions at Incepture, CMC, Buchanan/Software Spectrum and at The MCS Group. Kay Ring was named director of business development. Ms. Ring, a former account executive at WorkforceLogic, was most recently a manager at SecureTalent.
