San Rafael-based THX Ltd., provider of audio technology for the film and home entertainment industries, acquired cineSpace Color Management in Indianapolis, a developer of image monitoring and color management services. The acquisition complements technologies and services that THX delivers to post-production professionals.
Richard Mendelson, an attorney with Napa-based Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty, has published “Wine in America: Law and Policy,” a book on wine law and public policy in America. It was released May 19 by Aspen Publishing/Wolters Kluwer. Congressman Mike Thompson, who co-chairs the Congressional Wine Caucus, wrote the foreword. “This book should be studied by any student, scholar, government regulator, or policymaker who wants to better understand the trade policy and legislative and regulatory aspects of wine,” says Robert Koch, president and chief executive officer of the Wine Institute.
Novato-based West Bay Builders was honored on May 19 by the International Partnering Institute as part of the team that designed and built Walnut Creek Library, named 2011 IPI John L. Martin Partnered Project of the Year in the Sapphire category.
