Jan Becker is the senior vice president of human resources for Autodesk, which is the fifth largest employer in Marin County with 928 employees. In her current role, Ms. Becker is responsible for worldwide human resources, corporate real estate facilities and community relations at the software development company. Previously she was the senior director of human resources for the company’s design solutions division and manager of the “HR Future” team. She joined Autodesk in 1992. She’s held management positions with Sun Microsystems, Activision, Digital Equipment Corp. and Hewlett-Packard. She holds a B.S. in business administration from San Jose State University.

Mark Bernardi is director of human resources for Trinchero Family Estates/Sutter Home Winery, where he oversees daily HR operations for a department that oversees production, sales, marketing, vineyards and administration. He is tasked with developing and implementing HR programs and business strategies to support overall business objectives at Napa’s fifth biggest employer, with 450 employees. Previously he has director of human resources for Pacific CarCare in Pleasanton and has held HR management positions at San Francisco French Bread Co., Nestle Beverage Company and Safeway Inc./Park n’ Save in Fremont. He obtained an MBA from College of Notre Dame and a bachelor’s in industrial psychology. He is a member of the Northern California Human Resources Council and the Society for Human Resources Management.

Catherine Candland joined the Nelson Family of Companies as chief executive officer in May of 2010. As CEO of the North Bay’s largest staffing and HR firm, Ms. Candland works closely with founder Gary Nelson maintaining competitiveness amid an ever-expanding market. Previously the CEO of Advantage Human Resourcing Inc., founded by Ms. Candland in 1985 and built into a $230 million dollar global human capital organization, she brings 24 years of experience. At Advantage, Ms. Candland developed the company’s differentiated services offerings, including recruitment process outsourcing, contingent workforce management, business process outsourcing, direct hire searches, and project recruitment. She has served on the New York Federal Reserve Board of Small Businesses as well as the Connecticut Governor’s Council on Economic Competitiveness and Technology. She has won the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award and is a frequent public speaker on matters of workforce, staffing, skills training and human resources issues.

Rudy Collins serves as the human resources business partner for the Kaiser Permanente Marin-Sonoma Area and directs a staff of 22. His primary responsibilities are to serve as consultant to leadership on all HR issues, ensure the delivery of all HR services to the area's two medical centers and take actions to promote an effective partnership between labor and management. His duties include overseeing the areas of employee and labor relations, recruitment, HR compliance, disability management, learning and development and leadership development. He also serves as a member of the Marin County Workforce Investment Board, representing Kaiser Permanente. Mr. Collins has been with Kaiser Permanente for the past seven years and previously held HR management positions with eBay, Charles Schwab, and Levi Strauss. Currently residing in Corte Madera, he received his BA degree in psychology and philosophy from Boston University and his MBA from Golden Gate University.
