Mike Jaeger has been hired as C. Mondavi & Sons new chief operating officer, strategic marketing expert Paul Englert is the new VP of marketing, and Napa Valley cabernet specialist Stacy Clark is the winemaker for Charles Krug Winery in St Helena. Mr. Jaeger previously managed brands for Constellation Brands, Vincor International and Trinchero Family Estates. VP of Marketing Mr. Englert previously worked for wine companies such as Wilson Daniels Ltd, E&J Gallo and Terlato Wines International.
Winemaker Ms. Clark will collaborate with Peter Mondavi Jr. in overseeing winemaking operations of the winery. She has more than 25 years winemaking experience with Pine Ridge Vineyards where she crafted Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon and Bordeaux blends.
Christy Simon has joined Benovia Winery as the Russian River Valley wine producer’s chief financial officer. She will oversee the winery’s accounting practices, financial planning, risk management and supervision of capital investments. She most recently was CFO at The Donum Estate winery in Sonoma County, and has held executive positions at Coopers & Lybrand, Crum & Forster, and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company.
Senior Access in San Rafael, which provides entertainment and personal care to older adults in Marin, has appointed Reverend James Ward to its board of directors.
Marin County nonprofit Opportunity for Independence appointed Luigi Lucaccini to its board of directors. A retired federal government employee, Mr. Lucaccini now teaches management classes at the University of San Francisco’s School of Business.
Summit Engineering in Santa Rosa promoted Yi Yang to the structural division manager for the firm. Mr. Yi joined the firm in 2001, moving from Cleveland, Ohio to Sonoma County. Also at the firm, Jasper Lewis-Gehring has been promoted to civil division manager. Mr. Lewis-Gehring joined Summit in 2006 and has 10 years experience in the civil engineering and extensive background in municipal water system design.
Lynda Jensen has been hired into a regional leadership position for The Wine Country Group by Better Homes & Garden, a division of Better Homes & Garden Mason-McDuffie Real Estate. Ms. Jensen recently held the position of executive vice president and general manager of Heritage Sotheby’s International Realty in the Napa Valley. Ms. Jensen will be responsible for developing a strategy to expand the region into contiguous markets and will be based in Napa.
Bank of Marin Bancorp has hired Kathi Metro to lead its commercial lending efforts out of the Napa office. Prior to joining Bank of Marin, she was with North Bay Bancorp in Napa, most recently as a senior vice president and senior relationship manager with Umpqua Bank. Before that she was an executive vice president and credit administrator for The Vintage Bank. Ms. Metro began her career with Napa Valley Bank.
