SAN RAFAEL -- A commercial real estate agent involved with a number of the major sales of office and industrial buildings in Petaluma for more than a year has moved to a new brokerage.
Tony Sarno last week joined the eight-person Dowling-Bracco Team of Cushman & Wakefield of California.
Mr. Sarno has been active in the Petaluma commercial property market for the past eight years. He came to Petaluma office of Keegan & Coppin, the North Bay's largest commercial real estate brokerage, four years ago. For as many years before that, he was leasing manager for Basin Street Properties, a major developer and owner of local commercial real estate in the past four decades.
For the past year and a half, Mr. Sarno was involved in locally marketing for sale and lease a number of 18 former Equity Office office and office-flex buildings in Redwood Business Park in Petaluma for lenders. He was with Basin Street Properties when the company sold nearly four dozen buildings in Sonoma and Marin counties to Equity office in mid-2005.
Mr. Sarno is first vice president of the Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors and a new member of Petaluma Health Center's board.
One of the deals for former Equity Office buildings he helped broker recently was the sale of a 53,000-square-foot building at 1179 N. McDowell Blvd. to Petaluma Health Center for $4.7 million.
Mr. Sarno joins brokers Glen Dowling, Matt Bracco, Sean Heaton, Chris Neeb and Chris Burns on the San Rafael-based Dowling-Bracco Team. Since 2002, team has sold more than $1 billion worth of leased investments and negotiated more than 5 million square feet of leases.
