Healdsburg Beer Company announced the release of "The H Cubed" Anniversary Ale to celebrate its third successful year in business. The company was founded by wine industry executive Kevin McGee in his garage. It has annual production of under 1,000 gallons.
Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur is hosting a Rose and Pâte Week, Monday, August 15 to Sunday, Aug. 21, offering a specially priced selection of roses and pâtes. The choice of pâtes (and specialty sausages) will include Pâte De Campagne (a rustic country pâte), Mousse De Foie De Volaille (chicken liver mousse), Saucisson Aux Pistaches (smoked garlic sausage with pistachio), and Saucisson Sec (dry cured pork sausage).
Sonoma County’s 2011 exhibit at the California State Fair won a gold medal and best content award. Each year California counties create representative displays to be showcased at the annual State Fair held in Sacramento. The County’s exhibit is created through a coordinated project lead by the Sonoma County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office.
The Marin Convention & Visitors Bureau will be hosting a Tourism Summit on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at the Embassy Suites San Rafael from 10:00am to 2:00pm, with a presentation on local and state tourism trends. Holly Stiel is the featured guest speaker. Ms. Stiel innovated a method of training based on her 17 years as a world-class concierge in a 750-room hotel in San Francisco. She has designed corporate service training programs for Hilton and Hyatt hotels. Cost will be $35 per person, and sponsorship tables will be available at $100.
