John Griffin joined Coastland Civil Engineering as a senior engineer. He has16 years of civil and environmental engineering experience with an emphasis on water and sewer projects. He will work out of Coastland’s Santa Rosa and Auburn offices on a broad range of contract city engineering support services. Throughout his public sector experience he has represented Amador Water Agency and the City of Galt in all engineering matters, including staff oversight, capital improvement program management and regulatory agency coordination.
Greg Beale has joined Leff Construction as project coordinator at the Sebastopol-based company. After earning a bachelor of science in construction management with option in architectural project management from California State University, Chico, Mr. Beale became a licensed general contractor. Over the last 10 years he has worked for large and small general contractors in Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation added three doctors to its physician network in Sonoma and Lake counties. Francesca E. Manfredi, D.O., is board-certified in family medicine. She holds a medical degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. Dr. Manfredi completed her residency in family practice at Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa. Her professional experience includes a staff position at Sonoma County Indian Health Project. Shobana Vankipuram, M.D., received her medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College in India. She completed her family medicine internship and residency at West Penn-Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, Pa. Before joining SPMF, Dr. Vankipuram worked as a junior resident in critical care at Care Hospital, and as an intern at Gandhi Hospital, both in Hyderabad, India. Stefanie Hatfield, M.D., specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, She received her medical degree from Rush University Medical College in Chicago.
Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center has announced the appointment of Dr. Hilary Bartels as new chief of emergency medicine. A Stanford undergraduate, Dr. Bartels was graduated from Case Western Reserve University’s medical school in Cleveland. She joined Kaiser Permanente in 1990 after her residency in emergency medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA.

Gena Perdue, a certified esthetician, has joined the staff at Wine Country Day Spa in Santa Rosa. She received a certificate in cosmetic chemistry from UCLA and trained at the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon and Spa in San Francisco. Coleen Lindgren has joined The Personnel Perspective, a wine industry executive search, recruiting and human resources firm, as recruiting manager. Ms. Lindgren was previously a recruiter for Jackson Family Wines and is an HR generalist. She earned a BA in public relations and communications from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
