The San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critic’s Circle announced today the recipients of their special awards for 2011. James Dunn, a longtime faculty member at College of Marin, who helped start the careers of Robin Williams, among others, is the recipient of the Jerry Friedman Award, named for the KGO Radio theatre critic who served as SFBATCC president for 22 years. BOLT Staffing Service, Inc. appointed account executive Anthony Pizziol as the firm’s chief marketer of services to the wine and beverage industry. He joined BOLT last spring. The awards were presented during the All Network Conference held in Berkeley on Feb. 3 attended by more than 150 SBDC affiliates and business community representatives from all over Northern California. In 2011, Janet and Ashwin and a cadre of other SBDC advisors provided one-on-one consulting and training to nearly 17,000 entrepreneurs in Northern California.  Those services led to the creation and retention of more than 2,500 jobs, sales increases of over $62 million and over $50 million in capital infusion (loans and equity) for client businesses in 2011.
