Kathleen Pozzi has been named the Interim Sonoma County Public Defender by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. Ms. Pozzi is succeeding John Abrahams, who is retiring after 21 years. Ms. Pozzi, a Sonoma County native, received an associate of arts degree from Santa Rosa Junior College in administration of justice the same year she graduated from high school. Burbank Housing appointed Rick E. Lewis to the Burbank Housing Development Corporation Board of Directors. Mr. Lewis is an affordable housing consultant and market analyst who has dedicated most of his 30-year career to affordable housing as a construction lender, a mortgage broker, a market analyst and a consultant. After serving three years in the U.S. Army, he graduated from Willamette University with a B.A. in history and an M.B.A. from the university’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management.

Housing appointed Inez J. Barragan to the Burbank Housing Development Corporation Board of Directors. Ms. Barragan is the director of Extended Opportunity Program & Services and the Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education program for students at Santa Rosa Junior College. She is a graduate of SRJC, holds a BS degree in community & regional development from UC Davis, and a M.Ed in higher education leadership from Sacramento State. Her professional career is focused on social advocacy and improving access to opportunities in areas of housing, finance, healthcare and education.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced that five of its top-producing North Bay realtors have ranked in the top 1 percent of the company’s agents in Northern California for 2011 sales. The realtors are: James Madison of the company’s Santa Rosa office, Peg and Jeremy King (Petaluma), and David Schwartz and Marcus Robinson (Southern Marin). In achieving the top 1 percent level, the agents outpaced more than 3,600 sales associates in Northern California. Workrite Ergonomics named Charles Lawrence as president in a move the company said is aimed at accelerating growth and investment in the business. He will report to Peter Martin, chief executive officer of parent company Knape & Vogt and have full operational responsibility for the ergonomics business globally. Before joining Workrite, Mr. Lawrence held management, marketing, product-development, brand-management and sales leadership roles at Fortune 500 and private equity–backed companies including GE, Masco, Brunswick and Cerberus Capital Management. For the past six years, he led the turnaround of the U.S. division of Switzerland-based Franke Kitchen Systems, said to be the largest manufacturer of stainless steel products including kitchen sinks, foodservice systems, and washroom and beverage systems.
