LARKSPUR -- Mobile banking technology developer mFoundry has announced a number of notable additions to its list of clients this year, following an $18 million infusion of growth capital in late 2011.
The Larkspur-based firm, launched in 2004, currently provides cloud-based mobile banking and payments to over 700 banks and credit unions nationwide and one-third of the top 50 financial institutions in the United States. The company reports 10 million users, and also operates the Starbucks Card Mobile platform for Starbucks Coffee Company.
In 2012, mFoundry announced the addition of several new clients to its portfolio, including the $89 billion, Ohio-based KeyBank. Other additions included Indiana-based Eli Lilly Federal Credit Union, assets $1 billion, and Pennsylvania-based Conestoga Bank, assets $636 million.
Customers of financial institutions have increasingly adopted mobile banking technology in recent years. mFoundry noted in July that 25 percent of University Federal Credit Union members adopted their technology within nine months.

PETALUMA -- Ten-year old HydroPoint Data Systems Inc., maker of smart irrigation system WeatherTRAK, is experiencing a growth spurt. Its revenues jumped by 74 percent during the past three years and the company added 150 sites in May alone.
HydroPoint already lists Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, Apple, Coca Cola and PG&E among its customers, along with hotel chains, universities, developers of housing divisions and more than 50 cities and municipal water districts.
The company’s patented technology includes daily calculations of high resolution site-specific weather data pulled from satellites, aircraft data, radar, RF-enabled weather balloons, river gauges, ocean buoy and surface stations and weather services all over the globe – some eight million data points a day – to calculate when and how much to irrigate an individual piece of property with no waste or runoff.
Fueling its growth are a number of partnerships with large contractors.
“We struggled for a long time, doing all our own installations without contractor partners. But when we began to win the big customers they were willing to work with us,” said Chris Spain, HydroPoint CEO.
More partnerships are in the works, allowing HydroPoint to increase its rate of growth, he said.i2i Systems3663 N. Laughlin Rd., Ste. 200, Santa Rosa 95403, 866-820-2212, i2isys.com
