Napa Chamber hosts innovation summit Oct. 17

NAPA -- The Napa Chamber of Commerce will host a newly recast economic  summit on Oct. 17, welcoming regional leaders in education and technology as participants in "Innovation Napa Valley."

With a refined focus on business and education, the conference will feature participants from the public and private sectors, including Jessica Abate from Google Enterprise, David Mercer of David Mercer Consulting Inc., Marc Burgat, vice president of government relations at the California Chamber of Commerce, Mary & Jason Luros of the proposed business incubator Trellis Napa Valley, Jason Best, Sherwood Neiss and Robert Hunter of Crowdfund Capital Advisors, Chuck McMinn, chair of NapaLearns, Jon Gregory & Bob Linscheid for Grow-California, Innovation Scorecard and Dr. Robert Eyler, chair of the economics department at Sonoma State University.

“Our goal for this summit is to provide the audience with relevant takeaways to use in their business today,” said Chris Messina, CEO of the Napa Chamber of Commerce.

A number of individual sessions will be held following the conference, allowing participants to attend targeted sessions and interact on a closer basis with guest speakers.

The conference will be held at 500 First St. in Napa. Check-in begins at 7:30, with presentations from 8 a.m. through 12.45 p.m. Breakout sessions will run from 1:30 to 3 p.m., with more information available at Tickets are $55 for chamber members and $85 for non-members, and space is limited.
