Glassdoor, based in Sausalito, released a survey that reveals employees' work-related resolutions for 2013, preferences for holiday perks from employers and expectations for holiday time off and bonuses. Thirty-two percent said a salary raise is their top work-related resolution for 2013, followed by looking for a new job (23 percent), improving performance/rating by their supervisor (21 percent), attending training (16 percent), using all vacation days earned (13 percent), and socializing with work colleagues more (9 percent). Younger employees are more focused on securing a raise in 2013: 40 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds, 33 percent of 35- to 44-year-olds, 20 percent of 45- to 54-year-olds and 27 percent of workers older than 55. Employees 45--54 years old say their top resolution is looking for a new job (24 percent). Also, 2 percent of employees said their top resolution is to get their bosses fired.Energy

Superior Farms, the nation’s largest lamb producer, unveiled its first onsite large-scale wind turbine at the company’s Dixon processing facility. It is scheduled to be operational by the beginning of the New Year, and expected to offset about 50 percent of the company’s total energy use at that location. The new wind turbine provides roughly one megawatt of power with a tower 55 meters high and a blade diameter of 61.4 meters, resulting in height of approximately 280 feet to the tip of the blade at its highest point. The unit is projected to produce 2,200,000 kilowatt hours annually.Real Estate

Praxis Capital of Santa Rosa launched a third real estate investment fund to purchase single-family homes in Northern California: PCL Income and Appreciation Fund III, LP. With targeted investment capital of $25 million, this new fund will buy and hold entry-level homes identified to generate monthly cash flow and yield attractive future appreciation.Technology The board of directors of Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE:MDT) approved a cash dividend of 26 cents per share of common stock. The dividend is payable on Dec. 28 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Dec. 17. This accelerated quarterly dividend is intended to replace a dividend that was set to be declared next month.

PNI Sensor, a Santa Rosa-based geomagnetic sensor manufacturer, introduced SpacePoint Scout, a development module that offers video game application developers nine-axis motion tracking technology in one reasonably priced, integrated circuit board module. SpacePoint Scout includes a suite of sensors (three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer and three-axis geomagnetic sensor), highly proven sensor fusion algorithms and an I2C interface for quick implementation. SpacePoint Scout comes with the same RM3000 geomagnetic sensor as the one used in the new Nintendo Wii U GamePad. The RM3000, in conjunction with the SpacePoint Scout's sensor fusion algorithms, is designed to provide highly accurate pointing and motion tracking even in the presence of magnetic anomalies.
