Summit State Bank appointed Kim August vice president and commercial loan officer. She has more than 25 years of Sonoma County banking experience and has expertise with wineries and vineyards. Jodi Shubin, director of client and community relations at Pisenti & Brinker, was named the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce 2012 Ambassador of the Year. In addition to attending many chamber ribbon cuttings, mixers and events throughout the year, Ms. Shubin provided leadership to fellow ambassadors and helped grow chamber membership.Government

The Democratic Caucus selected Rep. John Garemendi, D-Fairfield, for the House Agriculture Committee. Because he also serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure and the Armed Services committees, he sought and obtained a waiver to serve on a third committee. The Third Congressional District, which he represents, has crops and commodities such as rice, plums and other stonefruit, almonds, walnuts,  winegrapes, milk products and cattle. Nick Hansen, CPA, of Moss Adams, LLP, was appointed vice president to the 2013 board of directors for Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market. Mr. Hansen has played a significant role within the market, having served on the board since last year.

Pacific Coast Air Museum announced that Julia Hochberg of Sonoma Jet Center was elected to the 2013 board of directors. Officers are Lynn Hunt, president; Jim Sartain, vice president; and Kristina Keck, secretary. Other board members are Allan Morgan, Art Hayssen, Glenn Barrett, Tom Chauncey and Steve Herrington. Judy Knaute is chief financial officer, Tim Delaney is controller, and Wayne Seamans was appointed as 2013 Wings Over Wine Country air show director.
