Two North Bay restaurants earn best-service award

Two North Bay restaurants have earned OpenTable's 2013 Diners' Choice Awards, which recognizes the top 100 best restaurants for service in the U.S.

The French Laundry, chef Thomas Keller's renowned restaurant in Yountville, was No. 2 on the list of 100, behind only Kai-Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler, Ariz. The French Laundry also is a regular "star"-catcher from Michelin Guide and did so again earlier this year.

Forestville's Farmhouse Inn & Restaurant also made the top 100 list. California had a total of 14 restaurants on the list to lead all states, with four in the top 10.

"Providing high-caliber hospitality to diners is both a calling and a craft," said OpenTable Chief Dining Officer Caroline Potter in a statement. "From owners and executive chefs to servers and line cooks, the passionate professionals at these restaurants are creating carefully orchestrated, personalized dining experiences that appear effortless yet make guests feel appreciated and indulged all at once."
