San Rafael-based 10,000 Degrees announced that two grant awards will help kick off the organization's 14th year of providing the 10,000 Degrees Institute -- a wrap-around approach to college success for low-income students. The organization received a $40,000 grant from the Citi Foundation. A grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will fund development of education-focused computer applications.Health Care

This month, Mollie Stone's Markets will note the 25th anniversary of its Sausalito location at 100 Harbor Dr. -- opened April 10, 1988 -- with a five-day celebration of food and community at the store. Angelo Damante has managed the store from its opening on April 10, 1988. Many customers have been shopping at the store regularly since then.
