Tell us a little bit about yourself: I grew up in Novato, married my high-school sweetheart and raised two boys here. I’m a big sports fan and love the San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and Nebraska Cornhuskers.

I started working in banking from an early age in Marin, and my goal was always to work at Bank of Marin. I’m really proud I achieved the goal of living and working in my hometown for such a respected company.

What do you see as the role of the facilities managers within your organization?: No one has the official title “facilities manager” at Bank of Marin. But in my role, I create efficiencies and streamline processes with many of our vendors. I also help keep our Novato corporate headquarters shipshape.

What is the achievement you are most proud of?: Anytime I can help streamline processes for the bank, reduce overhead and create efficiencies makes me happy. I recently completed a successful conversion of all our copy machines with an excellent vendor.

What is your biggest challenge today?: Responding to all requests a timely manner. I’m a stickler for getting back to people on time.

What the next major project?: It will be a big one -- consolidating the bank’s phone invoices and records.

What product or service helps you do your job more effectively?: Thank goodness for (Microsoft) Outlook. It’s a great tool to keep my schedule in order, and electronic documentation is key.

How do you think your profession will change in the next five years?: Hopefully electronic processes will take the place of many time consuming manual procedures.

Most admired businessperson outside your organization: Neil Hennessey (portfolio manager and chief investment officer of Hennessey Funds of Novato) is a local, very successful investment guy who also is smart, funny and incredibly generous. I really respect his sense of integrity and commitment to the community.

Most want to meet: San Francisco Giants player "Buster" Posey. He is such a student of the game, an incredible athlete and has great values.

Stress relievers: Listening to music and being outside working in the yard with my husband.

Favorite hobbies: Gardening, walking with my dog in the park and hiking in gorgeous Marin.

Words that best describe you: Energetic, efficient, organized and positive.
