Tina Laviolette joined Mechanics Bank’s new north Napa office as financial services manager. A Napa native and current resident, she served as office manager in Mechanics Bank’s Pinole Vista office from late 2010 until early this year. She began her career with World Savings prior to its merger with Wachovia, helping lead its Corte Madera branch through the merger. She then served as manager for the Wachovia Napa branch for seven years in turn leading it through the merger with Wells Fargo.Education

John Stayton joins the leadership team at Sonoma State's School of Business and Economics as executive director of graduate and executive education, which will encompass both SSU's traditional and wine business MBA programs. Mr. Stayton co-founded the Green MBA at Dominican and most recently headed the Venture Greenhouse.Health Care

Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company appointed Jay Dipasupil vice president of professional liability. With 27 years of industry experience, he will be responsible for managing the professional liability line of business, specifically professional services and health care. He has been with Fireman's Fund since February, starting as vice president of programs. Previously, he led the specialty solutions group at AIG, responsible for development and execution of underwriting, production and distribution management for professional liability products. Before AIG, he held underwriting and leadership roles with carriers Travelers and Zurich.
