Timothy Jorstad, founder of Marin County accounting firm Jorstad joined San Rafael-based wealth management firm Private Ocean as an owner. Mr. Jorstad began his career in public accounting in 1975 with an international accounting firm now known as KPMG. After earning his CPA certification in 1978, he specialized in income tax law. In 1994, he established Jorstad in San Rafael. He has served as a receiver for the superior courts of San Francisco, Marin and Mendocino counties. He was a founding shareholder and chairman of Business Bancorp, a state-chartered bank in San Rafael, and is founder and chairman of AltaPacific Bank in Santa Rosa.Health Care

Linda LiBrize, RN, joined the nonprofit Hospice by the Bay’s provider relations team in Sonoma County after nine years serving patients and families from the agency’s San Francisco office. A bilingual Spanish speaker, Ms. LiBrize has more than 30 years as a health care professional.Insurance

EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center) announced that construction insurance and surety executive Scott Gaddy joined EPIC’s North Bay property and casualty insurance operations in Petaluma. He joined EPIC’s San Francisco Construction Practice in 2009 after more than 20 years serving the insurance and surety needs of contractors throughout Northern California. He will continue to manage the surety practice in EPIC’s San Francisco office. He began his career with management consultants Cresap-Tillinghast, a subsidiary of Towers Perrin. After several years of consulting, he shifted his focus to the insurance and surety business, initially working as a claims examiner at Fireman’s Fund Insurance and later as a senior surety underwriter at the Fidelity & Deposit Co. of Maryland. Mr. Gaddy then went on to found and lead his own agency, Gaddy Ward & Company, where he served as president and focused on property and casualty insurance and surety services for commercial construction clients.Nonprofits
