Nominations are now open for the North Bay Business Journal's ninth-annual "Best Places to Work" awards aimed at recognizing companies and organizations that have gone above and beyond to attract and retain talent.
"The Business Journal is pleased to be in our ninth year of Best Places to Work," said Business Journal Publisher Brad Bollinger. "These awards have grown from 24 in 2006 to 75 last year not because it became easier to win. The number has grown because more and more organizations earned it with the support of their employees. And more and more organizations have seen the value of the recognitions as integral to hiring, morale and retaining the best talent."
In 2013, the 75 winning organizations represented nearly 12,500 employees. More than 6,000 employees completed the online satisfaction survey. Winning organizations ranged from 15 employees to over 2,000.
Companies with at least 15 employees and locations in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano, Mendocino or Lake counties are eligible for nomination through May 2.
To submit a nomination, go to NorthBayBusinessJournal.com.
A subsequent employee survey and application will determine award winners, who will be eligible to join past and first-time winners in an annual awards gala in September.
The awards are underwritten by Nelson and Wells Fargo Bank.
