Bank of Marin announced that Ian MacNeil has joined the bank as business development officer in Santa Rosa. Mr. MacNeil, formerly a manager at Rodney Strong Wine Estates and Davis Bynum Winery, brings more than 24 years of wine business experience, including customer service, wine sales, marketing, and corporate finance reporting to his new role at Bank of Marin. Mr. MacNeil will be based at Bank of Marin’s Santa Rosa office at 50 Santa Rosa Avenue and will focus on wine industry lending in all of the bank’s markets, including Sonoma and Napa counties and the East Bay. He will report to Glen Stanley, Regional Manager for Santa Rosa.Education
The Napa Valley Education Foundation named Jennifer Stewart executive director. Will Staney has been named Glassdoor’s head talent warrior and director of global talent acquisition. In this new role, Mr. Staney will leverage his expertise in social recruiting, HR data and analytics, and talent networking to build upon Glassdoor’s already successful talent acquisition program. Prior to joining Glassdoor, Mr. Staney served as director of recruiting at SAP (formerly SuccessFactors), and as talent acquisition web strategy manager at VMWare, among other HR and recruiting roles.

Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company appointed Mike Midgley as senior product director for health care professional liability. With over 20 years of health care and risk management experience, Mr. Midgley will be responsible for overseeing the company’s professional liability and related insurance products for health care accounts, including Allied Professionals, Medical Facilities and Senior Living Facilities. Mr. Midgley most recently worked in compliance, product development and risk management for ten years at American International Group, Inc. The Volunteer Center of Sonoma County has announced several personnel changes. After more than five years with the Volunteer Center and most recently as the director of 2-1-1 Information and Referral Service, Jim Bray retired at the end of last month. Taking over the position is Bonifacio Torres, who has been in a supervisory role for 2-1-1 for almost five years.

Keith Samse was hired as finance director for The Volunteer Center. He has been in accounting at a management level since 1985. Beginning in corporate accounting for start-up tech companies in San Diego, he migrated to non-profit and municipal accounting. He has many years of experience in helping non-profits improve their financial efficiencies focusing on financial information systems and infrastructure.
