Linkenheimer LLP CPAs and Advisors is celebrating Cecil Humes for his 50 years at the firm. He joined in 1964 after graduation from San Diego State University with a major in accounting. In 1969, he became a partner in the firm. From 1976--1983, he served on a statewide committee for the California Society of CPAs on insurance coverage for accountants, including two years as chairman. From 1984--1986, he was on the American Institute of CPAs national committee for insurance coverages for accountants. Mr. Hume is a member and treasurer of a local Rotary Club.

Three new members of the board of directors for Audubon Canyon Ranch, which offers conservation science, habitat protection and restoration, and nature education programs, were elected.

Barbara Ramsey, a 2002 graduate of the ranch's docent training program, will fill the Bouverie Preserve Docent Council seat. Over the past 40 years, she has served at numerous nonprofit organizations, including board president for the Sonoma County Medical Association Alliance Foundation. She volunteers with the city of Santa Rosa and serves as vice chair of the Santa Rosa Board of Community Services. She holds a B.S. in nursing and a master's degree in nonprofit administration.

Joan Turner, an active volunteer with the ranch's elementary school education program, will fill the Martin Griffin Preserve Docent Council seat. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing and has held numerous professional roles as a nurse and nursing professor. Joe Mueller, a biology professor at College of Marin, will serve as a new at-large director. He has extensive knowledge of marine biology, mammalogy, ornithology and environmental science. In addition to the College of Marin Academic Senate and Curriculum Committee, he has served on the Bolinas Lagoon Technical Advisory Committee since 1994. In 2008, he received the Terwilliger Environmental Award, recognition that goes to educators actively involved in teaching public environmental appreciation and protection.Construction

Warren Brown, president of One Sun, Inc., has been elected as president of North Coast Builders Exchange for the 2014--2015 year, beginning July 1. Other incoming officers include Clay Green of Cats4U as first vice president, Eric Ziedrich of Healdsburg Lumber Company as second vice president; and Jeff Scott of Mead Clark Lumber as secretary-treasurer. Monica Soiland Nelson of Midstate Construction became immediate past president.Education
Students from Santa Rosa High School competed and won at a recent SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City. Barbara Moretto Dama was awarded a Skill Point Certificate in Internetworking. Robert Pinomaki and Jessica Souza-Diangson, competing as Team AD were awarded a Skill Point Certificate in Television (Video) Production. Industry leaders representing over 600 businesses, corporations, trade associations and unions recognized the students for their demonstrated excellence in 99 hands-on occupational and leadership contests, such as robotics, criminal justice, aviation maintenance and public speaking. All contests are designed, run and judged by industry leaders using industry standards.
