Impact Marin Conference Thursday at Embassy Suites

SAN RAFAEL – The fifth annual Impact Marin conference sponsored by the North Bay Business Journal will delve into the county’s economic future and feature business leaders who are experiencing first hand both the opportunities and challenges of doing business in the region.

The event is from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10 at the Embassy Suites in San Rafael.

Underwritten by Bank of Marin, the conference will feature a conversation about the changing lending environment for small business and the economic challenges and opportunities identified by the Marin Economic Forum.

That part of the program will feature Russ Colombo, president and CEO of Bank of Marin, Dr. Robert Eyler, chair of the economics department at Sonoma State University and interim CEO of the MEF, and Harry Thomas, the MEF chairman.

A second panel of business leaders will focus on what they are seeing on the ground in their companies today and what they believe will help spur business vitality in Marin County. That panel includes Dale Aman, CEO of A&P Moving Inc., Jill Kinney, managing partner of Clubsource Development Partners and David Wamsley, CEO of GravityEight Inc., a Mill Valley Internet startup.

“We believe it is vital for business people to come together in one place to discuss the present and the future of the communities they are part of,” said Business Journal Editor Brad Bollinger. “At the end of the day, what really moves a community forward – public and private – is businesses prospering, innovating and hiring.”

Cost is $39 per person and $390 for a table of 10. Registration is available at the door or by calling 707-521-5270.
