Bank of Marin hired Jim Burke as chief information officer. Mr. Burke, formerly of Visa, Inc. brings more than 20 years of information technology experience to this new role at Bank of Marin. He has held leadership positions at Visa, Inc., Irwin Financial Corporation, Charles Schwab & Co., and Bank of America. Mr. Burke graduated magna cum laude from San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.Health Care

Zero Breast Cancer, a nonprofit organization in Marin County, will honor the following individuals and organizations for their contributions to the understanding of breast cancer: David Gullion, M.D., a medical oncologist with Marin Specialty Care who developed the Integrative Oncology program for patients at the Marin Cancer Institute. Dr. Gullion is the medical director of the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness at Marin General Hospital. He is being recognized for his medical expertise and humanistic approach to the treatment of women with breast cancer; clinical health psychologist Carol Kronenwetter, Ph.D., a private practitioner and consultant at California Pacific Medical Center Breast Health Center in San Francisco. Exercise physiologist Regan Fedric is co-founder of Sunflower Wellness, a nonprofit organization that promotes exercise to improve the lives of those living with cancer.  Ms. Fedric has developed programs at Marin General Hospital Center for Integrative Health and Wellness, the Bay Club Marin, Smith Integrative Oncology, Rolling Hills Club and the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center.Residential Real Estate

Michael Gregory, sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Petaluma office, has been awarded membership in the company’s International Sterling Society, an honor bestowed upon the top Coldwell Banker sales associates worldwide. Mr. Gregory has been a realtor nearly 10 years. He has been nominated numerous times as Petaluma Realtor of the Year and was awarded in 2012 The Chapter Choice Award by the Petaluma Chapter of Realtors for his dedication and service.

Rebecca Celli, sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Petaluma office, has earned membership into the company’s International President’s Circle, a prestigious honor bestowed upon the top Coldwell Banker sales associates worldwide. Ms. Celli has been with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage for two years. She is currently serving as president of the North Bay Association of Realtors and on the organization’s executive committee, as well as on the board of directors for the Petaluma Educational Foundation. For the past six years she has participated on the Petaluma Council of Realtors in the positions of secretary, vice president and president.Technology

The 2013 Francine Levien Activist honorees are Stig Westling, MBA, Jonathan Mooney, MBA and Janine Elliott, MBA, co-founders of Skip to Renew, a company that was launched through the Dominican University Venture Greenhouse. Skip To Renew provides high-quality renewable, non-toxic and biodegradable industrial lubricants made from sustainably-sourced plant and algae oils, including a lubricant for bicycle chain links. Skip to Renew CEO Stig Westling teaches environmental chemistry at Dominican University of California in San Rafael. Sodaro Estate Winery appointed a new winemaking team: Denis Malbec and May-Britt Malbec. Denis Malbec began his winemaking instruction as a cellar worker at Chateau Latou in the Bordeaux region of France. Thereafter, he studied viticulture and enology in Bordeaux and Reims, Champagne, and completed his studies with a five-year "Tour de France" of internships at prestigious chateaux including Chateau Haut-Brion and Chateau Lagrange. In 1993, he returned to Chateau Latour, and in 1994 became cellar master and enologist. Ms. Malbec began her career in wine as sommelier working in many of Stockholm’s top restaurants. She opened her own restaurant, "Le Bateau," on the Royal Star, a yacht built in 1964 for King Frederic of Denmark. In 1995, she moved to France to oversee public relations at Château Latour. In 2000, the two left Latour and launched their own wine consulting business.
