Massa Construction of San Rafael has received a $164,440 contract from the City of Tiburon to improve access to that city’s ferry dock for the disabled. The project was designed by ILS Associates of Novato. The city expects the entire project to cost $216,106, accounting for permitting, design and construction.
Work to be done, according to the city, includes removing existing decking and replacing it with new timber and aluminum decking as well as replacing the caprails and doing other work to meet current accessibility standards.
The Blue and Gold Fleet operates midday and late night ferries out of the dock while commuter ferries are operated by Golden Gate Ferry.
