Whether given directly from employees or as corporate sponsorship, donations from the team at Green Valley annually support local nonprofits, events promoting sustainable living and business practices, as well as individual organizations in need throughout the community.

Green Valley Consulting Engineers provides extensive land surveying services to municipalities, private property owners and developers with its experienced team of civil engineers, landscape architects, surveyors and construction management and inspection personnel.

The company has been a longtime supporter of the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation.

In 1998, Green Valley founder Liz Ellis became one of five founding members of the foundation’s board of directors. The Parks Foundation was formed to raise funds for vital programs at all of Sonoma County’s Regional Parks.

Ellis had just launched Green Valley Consulting Engineers the previous year and her newly formed company immediately became one of the Parks Foundation’s earliest corporate sponsors.

Green Valley has continued this steadfast support for more than a decade. One of the benefits of this relationship is the provision of services provided by Green Valley’s marketing department.

Marketing Manager Jason Alandy plans fund-raising appeals, develops flyers, brochures and creates related materials that help the Parks Foundation raise money for key projects at no cost to this non-profit.

“As a small company with about 20 employees, Green Valley isn’t able to contribute a lot of money to local organizations,” said Ellis.

“But we make up for it with our enthusiastic commitment to supporting a group of organizations any way we can, through our employee volunteers and in-kind donations. Our company’s motto: Restoring Yesterday, Creating Tomorrow, also applies to what we do to sustain and preserve our communities and the people within them.”

Green Valley employees are actively involved with 15 nonprofits and community events, including the KZST Secret Santa Program, the Sonoma County Task Force for the Homeless’ Winter Warmth Drive, the Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Living Room, Earth Day Santa Rosa, the KRCB Auction, Forget Me Not Farm, Forgotten Felines, the Sonoma Humane Society, Levi’s King Ridge Gran Fondo, Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tree Grove, Halloween at Howarth Park, Santa Rosa Creek Week and by making office supply donations to local school classrooms.
